Ingredients:
-Brussel sprouts
-Olive oil
=> This cookbook is MAD for not including any seasoning for this dish, only brussel sprouts and olive oil. Brussels sprouts are highly nutrient-dense cruciferous vegetables packed with fiber, vitamin K, and vitamin C. Just a half-cup provides over 100% of your daily vitamin K needs. They promote strong bones, support immune system, regulate blood sugar, and contains antioxidants that help lower chronic inflammation. Thus, I have nothing to say but the best, this dish is 10/10 for nutrition wise.
I was sooo confusedd when the ingredients didn’t have any seasoning like salt or pepper at all. I had to rethink myself and questioning if I can read and understand English. And when it comes to this type of insanity, I cannot ignore and follow the cookbook to not put any seasoning on my brussel sprouts, so I add in garlic powder, salt, Italian seasoning and papaprika powder. Honestly, without having to try the cookbook’s brussel sprouts, my brussel sprouts’ takes the win any day, because it is simply more flavorful. I mean who would want their food to be bland and tasteless… And for an award-winning cookbook like this, this recipe made me really shocked. So for the original version, I’d give it a 4/10, without trying, knowing it would taste like green and leaves.
