=> This dish really makes sense as a side dish in Western diet. Since the main dish usually contains protein and the side dishes are vegetables and carbs. And sweet potato is a good candidate. Sweet potatoes are highly nutritious root vegetables packed with dietary fiber, potassium, and vitamins A and C. They offer immense benefits, including promoting gut health, supporting vision, and regulating blood sugar. So to give a score for a side like this, it is a solid 9/10.

Luckily I didn’t have to buy anything for this recipe and didn’t need to waste much time making it. My mom’s friend already baked some sweet potatoes for us so I decided it was the time to finally try this recipe out. The cookbook says to smash the sweet potato’s “flesh” while not to destroy the skin much which is very hard cause there is a very thin line between them. But I must admit, smashing the flesh made the dish tastes better and have more of texture to enjoy. Combining with the cinnamon and salt, it has become one of my comfort meal now. To side this dish with a main, I suggest some cozy dish too like a brown butter sage pasta, or it could just eat as a snack alone is fine by me. For my new to go recipe, I’d give it a 9.5/10.
